SCIENCE INVESTIGATION

What forces make you move on a trampoline? What direction do they push or pull? Are they balanced or unbalanced forces?  Does mass/weight change the speed at which objects fall due to the force of gravity? What can change the speed of something falling?

ENGINEERING CHALLENGE

What can change the speed of something bouncing up? Engineer a device that will increase the rebound height of a bouncing ball.

MATH EXPLORATION

Which rebound height is greater, the rebound from the ground or the rebound from your engineered device? What is the ratio of the distance of the fall to the distance of the rebound for your device?  How can this ratio be expressed as a decimal?
